1) Old Mason Jar method
Step 1: Take a plain old mason jar and fill it with ¼ of milk in it
Step2: close it and give it a shake for 30 seconds
Step3: then, remove the lid and put it in a microwave for another minute to warm the milk

2) French Press Method
This method is using the French press method. My favorite method is using it to create the most voluminous and stable foam.
Step1: first, add warm milk about ¼ of jar
Step1: Then take the plunger and pump it up and down gently for about a minute,milk will froth up right before your eyes

3) Frothing Wand Method
This nifty frothing wand method, it’s portable and it’s a lot cheaper than one of those fancy machines you find on the market.
Step1: First, stick the tip of the wand in your warm milk,
Step2: Then press a button and literally wait for 15 seconds to get good foam.
Step3: Then you have a glass of perfectly creamy decadent foam.

4) Hand Whisk and Stove
Step 1 First, put the pan on the stove and pour milk into the pan at medium heat.
Step 2 Using a hand whisk, whip air into the milk for 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 3 Tilt the pan, whip the milk easily.
Step 4 Remove the heat or turn off the stove when the milk is warm and soft.
Step 5 Put the foam into the jar.
This method produces rich foam, smooth and soft air bubbles.
Tips for Frothing
- Using only cold milk for frothing, cold milk froth is better than warm milk, proteins are more stable in cold milk than warm milk.
- Milk with higher fat creates rich foam, if you want more foam then go for lower-fat milk. This creates more foam.
Use 2% or Nonfat Milk
When creating foam, whey proteins are important in stabilizing and creating foam.
As Harold McGee explains it,
The nonfat milk, 2% milk, whole fat milk, and cream is enough, the nonfat and 2% milk win every time. They both create a large volume of foam, whereas whole fat milk and creams create a layer of tiny bubbles.
